The Mission: Visit every New England fly-in restaurant

They call it the $100 Hamburger, its aviation humor for the cost of fuel and airplane fees just to fly in for a bite to eat.

Join Jeff, my friends and I on our adventures to hit every restaurant airport from Maine to Long Island New York.

Join Jeff (VOR Jeff) and me as we embark on a brunch adventure to Sky Acres Airport (44N), nestled about 48 nautical miles west of Hartford, CT. The journey begins 7 miles out, where our trusty Foreflight and ADS-B data from the Garmin-430 alert us to nearby traffic. After coordinating with fellow pilots, we make a smooth and safe landing. 🛬 Upon arrival, we taxi to the fuel pump for parking and secure the Piper Cherokee. The highlight of the trip? A delicious Belgian waffle at the airport café, where we meet some incredible fellow aviators and make new friends. 🎨 After brunch, I get the unique honor of signing the famous Wall of Shame, a tradition for visiting pilots. Before wrapping up, we catch a glimpse of Neil and his sleek Dakota as he takes off, heading home through New York’s scenic airspace.
